Discover the Cosmos: Ogden's Dark Skies
Despite the urban feel, dark skies in Northern Utah are a natural amenity for the area.
Just a short drive from Downtown Ogden lies the tranquil Ogden Valley, a hot spot for stargazers and nature enthusiasts. The area, known for Pineview Reservoir, hiking, mountain biking, and access to three world-class ski resorts, also offers experiences for those seeking the beauty of the night sky.
North Fork Park
North Fork Park is a 2600 acre camping and outdoor gem located in Liberty, Utah on the eastern side of the Wasatch Mountain Range.
North Fork Park distinguishes itself from other Dark Sky Parks through four unique attributes: its proximity to urban areas, a deep commitment to wildlife conservation, a comprehensive outreach program, and the integration of public art that embraces dark sky themes.
This blend of elements creates an unparalleled experience of dark skies for nearly 2.2 million residents who live along the Wasatch Front, making the park readily accessible.
