There's only one way to start off summer and that's Ogden style!

The snow is melting, schools out, and the warmer weather is quickly approaching which can mean only one thing: summer is here. The first weekend in June marks the official kick-off to Ogden’s HUGE summer of events, so why not pack as many in weekend as possible, right?
Let’s go chronologically:
Thursday, June 2 marks the inaugural Queer Prom at The Monarch. This brand new event sponsored by UTOG Brewing and The Monarch is Utah’s only adult queer prom and is the perfect way to get a jump on Pride Weekend. For a further look into how we celebrate pride here in Ogden, check out this blog.
Things start to get crazy on Friday, June 3.
Throughout the afternoon, more than 350 vehicles will take their place along 25th Street between Wall Ave. and Washington Blvd. for the Historic 25th Street Car Show. This open show, now in its 20th year, has no categories or classes…just a giant display of antique and modern cars, motorcycles, and even vintage travel trailers.
The car show also coincides with Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll, featuring extended gallery hours at all of the galleries along 25th Street and inside Union Station, as well as Open Studio Night at The Monarch and exhibits in several businesses and restaurants around town. While downtown, don't forget to grab a bite to eat at any of our favorite downtown dining hot spots.
Friday night is also the kick-off to the three-day OFOAM Music Festival at Fort Buenaventura. Opening-night acts include Amy Helm and Grammy-winning artist and International Bluegrass Hall of Fame member, Sam Bush.
The impromptu campfire jam sessions that occur after the show will likely carry on into the wee hours. Don't want to miss out on all the fun? Get your tickets here, or you can buy them at the gate.
Which brings us to Saturday, June 4.
Start your day at Farmer’s Market Ogden. Maybe even a bit of morning yoga in the park. Perhaps a bit of brunch.
By mid-day, OFOAM is back in full swing with a full day of music, vendors, food and beverages, workshops, and activities for the kids. All kids 16 and under are free at all OFOAM events!
Of course, the campfire jams will kick up again on Saturday night.
Sunday afternoon brings the weekend in for a landing with the final day of OFOAM, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop there. Here are some of our favorite things to do in Ogden:
