St. Patricks Day in Ogden
Celebrate St. Patty's day right in Ogden
Oh, you’re Irish? So am I!
While we know everyone is suddenly Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, it’s no problem to us here in Ogden, Utah. We are happy to be Irish, wear green, and have a good time just like the rest of 'em! I mean one of our most iconic mountain peaks is Ben Lomond! Well, technically that is Scottish, but close enough! So, draw straws for DD, don some green, and celebrate St. Patty’s Day here in Ogden!
Before you make your plans, be sure to check out our events calendar, all the must-do community events are here and, more than likely, there are some Irish celebrations you will want to hit up before your night out. Not to mention you may find some more green apparel to ensure no one gets pinched on your way.
Feel free to follow these five steps to a great St. Patrick’s Day in Utah’s favorite town.
1. Get here
We recommend parking in downtown Ogden if you can find a place, or feel free to park at the Ogden FrontRunner station or at The Junction and take the free Ogden trolley in. A map of the free trolly stops can be found here. If you live along the Wasatch Front feel free to take the FrontRunner and catch the free trolly there at the station.
2. Grab some food
If you are going to celebrate your St. Patrick’s Day right, you are going to need to get some food in that stomach… something like corned beef and cabbage, or fish and chips. For this we recommend Harp and Hound. This pub not only offers an amazing St. Patrick’s Day menu but has a vegan option for those who take going green for St. Patrick’s Day a little too literally. Other hot spots to check out during the month of March are Lucky Slice, Brookey Bakes, and Roosters!
3. Start the crawl
Working your way through our amazing bars and pubs, we recommend you start at one end of Historic 25thStreet and work your way down. If you just had dinner at Harp and Hound, you could make your way down the stairs to the Funk ‘N’ Dive or down the street to the Angry Goat. But don’t go too crazy, you still have more party to have.
4. See the street
We warned you there was more to see. Once you have had your fill at the top of Historic 25th Street start making your way West, you will pass by places to get a late-night bite, places to dance, and bars with the party you are looking for. The Lighthouse Lounge or Slackwater are sure to have live music playing.
5. Get home safe
We know how to party right here in Ogden. That means having a DD, taking public transportation, or calling a rideshare. Be sure to show some Irish kindness to those you meet on your Ogden St. Patrick’s Day adventure and when in doubt, ask a local.
