Built in 1846 by Miles Goodyear on the Weber River, two miles south of the confluence with the Ogden River. Fort Buenaventura is a historic park in the middle of Ogden City. The 26 acre Fort offers a wide range of amenities for outdoor recreation including camping, fishing, 18-hole championship disc golf course, visitor center, historic fort, pavilions, canoeing and a playground. What a great resource for our community to have a fishin’ hole less than a mile from downtown. The Fort is host to Easter Mountain Man Rendezvous, OFAOM’s Ogden Music Festival and numerous educational field trips for school children.

Rates – Two group sites: $110 per night for up to 50 people. Includes camping. Trappers: Group site with pavilion, five camp sites with fire pits and restroom (flush toilets). Power is available. Traders: Group site with pavilion and fire pit. Power is available.
Tipi rental: $20 per night for up to 8 people. $30 *refundable deposit due at time of check in. We have 4 available.
Individual camp sites: $20 per night for up to 8 people, 2 cars and 2 tents OR one trailer and one tent. We have 14 camp sites, 5 of them being part of Trappers.
Canoe rentals: $5/hour or $3/half hour. We provide life jackets. School groups: $2/person. Includes Mountain Man presentation (Volunteers from the Fort Buenaventura Mountain Men), history lesson and tour of Fort, two games (may choose from frying pan toss, sack races, three-legged from frying pan toss, sack races, three-legged race or tug of war) and the candy cannon. They may substitute a game if they would like to do canoe rentals but the canoe rental fee would apply on top of the $2/person fee. There is also the King Fisher Wetlands walk and the playground that the larger groups use as rotations on their own.
Activities Area: $350/day for up to 150 people. This is the grass area behind the Fort. We hold several events and weddings here. Power is available.
Picnic area: Free to the public, this is the area right outside the visitor center.
Additional services in all parks: Stage Rental - $250/day rental fee, $270 set up, tear down fee, $24 for barricades. We provide transportation, set up and teardown.
