Watch Olympians Compete on Home Ice
Fans attending the 2026 LGT World Men’s Curling Championship will have the opportunity to watch Olympians and world champions compete on Utah ice following the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The championship will showcase many of the sport’s top athletes as they return to international competition after the Olympic spotlight.
Among them is Team Casper (USA), which will represent the United States at the Milano Cortina Games, marking the seventh consecutive Winter Olympics in which the U.S. fielded a men’s curling team. Led by skip Danny Casper, the team includes Luc Violette, Ben Richardson, Aidan Oldenburg, and alternate Rich Ruohonen, who could become the oldest American to compete in a Winter Olympic medal sport.
The World Championship offers fans a rare opportunity to see Olympic athletes compete in a more intimate, community-centered environment while continuing their pursuit of international titles.
A Global Event with Local Impact
As host, the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation continues its mission to preserve Utah’s Olympic legacy while expanding access to sport and welcoming international competition to communities across the state. In partnership with Visit Ogden, the Foundation is proud to showcase Ogden as a vibrant winter destination where world-class sport, outdoor recreation, and historic downtown culture converge.
The Weber County Ice Sheet previously served as a curling venue during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, continuing Utah’s Olympic legacy as the state welcomes another major international curling event following the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The venue will once again serve as the epicenter of global curling for nine days, welcoming athletes, fans, and international media while inviting visitors to explore all that Ogden has to offer—from its walkable historic downtown and local dining scene to nearby skiing, snowshoeing, and outdoor adventure.
In addition to single-session tickets, fans can still purchase multi-day ticket packages, including the Full Event, Opening Weekend, and Championship Weekend packages, while availability lasts. Visitors are encouraged to extend their stay and experience Ogden beyond the ice, with lodging, dining, and entertainment options available throughout the community.
The championship is expected to generate significant economic impact for Northern Utah while further establishing Ogden as a premier host city for international winter sport events, reinforcing its reputation as a welcoming, accessible, and authentic destination for athletes and fans alike.
