The 58K is a beautiful, predominately single-track course with around 1,800m+ of gain and UTMB describes the course as running through sagebrush, aspen and fir with views toward Ogden and the Great Salt Lake
For runners, this is the big mountain day of the weekend. Expect long climbs, fast and technical descents, exposed high-country sections and plenty of elevation change as the course moves through the terrain surrounding Snowbasin. Give yourself time to acclimate, arrive ready for changing mountain weather, and plan your nutrition and hydration around a course that will keep you working for hours.
The 28K offers a shorter way to experience the same Snowbasin terrain, with mountain views, sustained climbing and a true trail-racing feel without committing to the full 58K distance. Whether you’re racing hard or taking it all in, both distances put you right in the heart of the Wasatch.
