At Field of Fear Haunted House, we believe every guest should be able to experience the thrill of a haunted attraction in a way that matches their comfort level. That’s why we created Adjustable Fear Technology (AFT), a one-of-a-kind system that allows certain scenes inside our haunted house and haunted corn maze to change in real time based on the guest experience selected.
Unlike traditional haunted houses in Utah that deliver the same scares to every group, Adjustable Fear Technology allows our actors, lighting systems, sound effects, animatronics, and visual effects to react differently depending on whether guests choose a lower-intensity or full-intensity experience.
For guests seeking maximum terror, scenes become darker, louder, more aggressive, and far more unpredictable. For families or younger visitors carrying glowsticks, certain scenes become less intense while still maintaining the immersive atmosphere that makes Field of Fear one of the most unique haunted attractions in Utah.
Utah’s Only Haunted House with Adjustable Fear Technology
Field of Fear is proud to offer what we believe is Utah’s only adjustable fear haunted house experience. Because our attraction takes place inside a real cornfield in West Haven, Utah, we welcome a wide variety of guests every fall season, including:
hardcore haunted house fans
teenagers looking for intense scares
couples on Halloween date nights
families with younger children
first-time haunted house visitors
Adjustable Fear Technology helps make the attraction more accessible without sacrificing the terrifying atmosphere experienced by thrill seekers.
How Adjustable Fear Technology Works
When entering the attraction, guests can choose whether they want the standard intense experience or a reduced-intensity version using a free glowstick obtained at the entrance. Throughout the haunted house, actors and effects teams recognize those signals and adjust portions of the experience accordingly.
