Fort Buenaventura
Built in 1846 by Miles Goodyear on the Weber River, two miles south
of the confluence with the Ogden River. Fort Buenaventura is a historic park in the middle of Ogden City. The 26 acre Fort offers a wide range of amenities for outdoor recreation including camping, fishing, 18-hole championship disc golf course, visitor center, historic fort, pavilions, canoeing and a playground. What a great resource for our community to have a fishin’ hole less than a mile from downtown. The Fort is host to Easter Mountain Man Rendezvous, OFAOM’s Ogden Music Festival and numerous educational field trips for school children.
