Ogden is known for its stunning landscape, its Historic 25th Street, and its fascinating railroad history. However, Ogden is also filled with chilling stories of spirits roaming around all over the area. Let us introduce you to the various haunted locations and the once shadowy world that Ogden has to offer.
Union Station

Story: Ogden's Union Station, once a thriving train station and now a museum, holds many stories. An iconic building that has been around for 100+ years leaves two commonly known souls reliving their final moments. One spirit is Frances Williams, a 10-year-old girl who was killed by her mother and shipped in a trunk to Union Station back in 1913. Frances is said to haunt the halls of the station. The other spirit is “The Lady in White,” Isabella Jansen, who was murdered by her husband and shoved into a trunk. She is said to haunt the Myra Powell Gallery, and many say her presence can be felt around the gallery. A scent of lavender can indicate that she’s close by.

Two Bit Street
Story: Along the streets of 25th street, where individuals come to hang out, eat, walk, and even take photos, lies a chilling secret. The street that has been around Ogden for quite some time has lingering spirits walking through its streets. Many local businesses around 25th street mention some ghostly activity, such as items being moved, unexplained noises, and apparitions appearing.

Peery’s Egyptian Theater
Story: This theater holds many stories of what has happened in the past. One of the first stories is about a little girl who would bring lunch to her father while the building was under construction. It was reported that she fell from a scaffolding to her death and now roams on the upper stage of the theater. Alongside the little girl is another lingering spirit. As the woman's identity remains uncertain, the mysterious lady can be seen on the balcony, leaving guests with curiosity and fear. Visitors have also heard unexplained music and noises in empty rooms. The noises are said to be caused by the unknown spirit called “the musician”.

The Bigelow Apartments
Story: The once-hotel becomes an apartment full of hidden voices. One of the most frequent stories is about a bride who drowned in her bathtub during her honeymoon. Guests who have checked into the same room where the bride drowned have reported hearing water from the tub run, getting pushed or shoved by unseen forces, and hear unusual noises. The room next door also experiences this unusual occurrence, since it was the room that the bride's son stayed in. Guests who stayed in that room reported seeing a shadowy figure and hearing noises. As these two are the most famous spirits of the building, the apartment still contains a variety of spirits living in its walls.

Ogden City Cemetery: Florence Grange Grave
Story: Florence Grange, also known as “Flo” was a 15-year-old girl who has become a local legend in Ogden. The cause of her death was never confirmed, but it was said that she was hit by a car while waiting for her boyfriend or died of the Spanish flu that was going around Ogden at that time. Where her body rests, she can be seen by performing a small ritual. If you visit her gravestone and flash your headlights three times, it is said she will appear, walking towards your car.

The Soldier Statue
Story: A statue come to life at the Ogden City Cemetery has been reported by many who dared and tried a ritual that brings the statue to life. It is said that if you drive or walk around the statue counterclockwise, the statue’s eyes will start to follow you or the statue itself would start to move and position itself differently.

Prairie Schooner Restaurant
Story: The family owned restaurant that has greeted customers since 1975. However, the original owner, Neil Rasmussen, has never left and is said to haunt his restaurant. Employees have reported objects moving on their own, lights turning off and on, noises that can be heard when no one is around, and a box of French fries that combusted.

Roosters Brewing Co.
Story: This modern day hang out spot also has its hidden stories. Employees have mentioned that the basement and third floor of the building are two of the most active locations. They reported hearing disembodied voices and footsteps while the building remained empty.

Coleman Knitting Mills (Dead Haven)
Story: The former haunted house attraction has been left abandoned by the community, but not by what still roams inside. The unit has been an area where individuals have reported seeing non-human faces in the windows and unexplained noises coming from the building. The building was once a clothing store known as Coleman Knitting Mills.

Borgstrom Hall
Story: Many who have visited the location have reported taking photos and seeing orbs all over their photos. Those who walk around the halls of the building feel an eerie sense of being watched. Lights can be seen turning on and off on their own. This building has been left abandoned, meaning access to visiting could be limited.

North Ogden Divide
Story: A road that connects the town of Liberty and North Ogden City has been the site of reported supernatural activity. It has been reported that there are unearthly figures or animals that aren’t of this world that would appear alongside the road. Native American spirits are also said to linger along the road.

Bellington Manor
Story: The fascinating building that fits the “perfect haunted house” design, has its tales of the spirits within the walls. It is said that one of the previous owners, Edwin Jackson Harness and his wife have been spotted in various parts of the mansion. Some also reported seeing a former employee whose spirit still appears throughout the mansion. This location is no longer open to the the public.

Eccles Art Center
Story: The Victorian mansion that has stood since 1893, has its own stories behind its walls. It is said that a former caretaker, “Miss Hardy” can be seen around the halls of the mansion, but more specifically in the kitchen. Though the activity isn’t as extreme, there can be minor unexplained noises.
