Guided Tour of Ogden’s Historical 25th Street

Every First Friday of Every Month 5:30 – 7:00 PM

Explore Ogden’s Art, Architecture, and History!

Join local expert, Rich Koski, during Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll as he takes you on a guided walk from Union Station to the Monarch Building in the Nine Rails Creative District (Ogden’s newest collection of art galleries featuring open studios, live music and WB’s Coffee, Wine Bar and Restaurant).

Among the historical facts and anecdotes provided by your guide you’ll learn about:

  • Early Weber County and Ogden history including the role of the fur traders and mountain men establishing the first European-American settlement in Utah.
  • Arrival of the Mormon Pioneers and establishment of Ogden as an agricultural community.
  • Ogden’s emergence as the Crossroads of the West following the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad and an overview of the influence of rail traffic in Ogden.
  • The famous and infamous men and women who called Ogden home.
  • The legitimate and illegitimate businesses that contributed to the growth of Ogden.
  • The remarkable collection of architecturally interesting late 19th century and early 20th century buildings of the National Historical Registry.
  • The economic drivers over the years including agriculture, railroad, government (IRS and Hill), outdoor recreation, tourism and more.

Today’s Historic 25th Street as the cultural and culinary center of Ogden as you stroll through a concentration of locally owned restaurants, unique retail, galleries, bars and live entertainment.
