5 Places to Celebrate National Drink Beer Day in Ogden

5 Places to Celebrate National Drink Beer Day in Ogden

Rejoice and raise a toast because today is National Drink Beer Day (AKA the best holiday ever)! Get your pint ready and head down to these 5 places in Ogden to celebrate.

Slackwater Pizzeria and Pub
Slackwater is so passionate about beer that they bring in new flavors weekly! Here they have a beer bible that features over a hundred types of beer categorized and rated so that you know if your beer earned an A+ or flunked out of beer school. This is where you will find one of the largest assortments of specialty beers in Ogden, including limited availability local brews.

The Shooting Star Saloon
Since 1879 Utah’s Oldest Bar has been serving ice cold brews.  Many patrons come to the bar just to savor the bar's signature Star Burger, made from two ground-beef patties, two slices of cheese with a grilled knackwurst Polish sausage in the middle. It comes with sautéed onions, mild seasoning, mustard, ketchup, pickles, lettuce, tomato and chips. This bar is cash only and a $20 will go a long way at this historic bar.

The Barrelhouse
Ogden’s newest craft beer bar offers over 100 different ice cold brews to choose from.  The staff is known to make some killer beer cocktails, or can recommend what beer’s mix well together. During the fall I personally enjoy a black pumpkin which is the Uinta Baba Black Lager mixed with the Uinta Punk’n Harvest Pumpkin Ale. So kick back in the lounge area or rotate around the shuffleboards, darts and foosball table while enjoying a craft beer.

Roosters Brewing Co.
Established in 1995, Roosters just celebrated their 20th anniversary and with that introduced a new beer the 20 Year Chanticleer which is a Belgian Style Rye Ale. They offer a moderate beer list, but you won’t be disappointed in the flavor or the selection. This kid-friendly brewery also makes their own root beer, be sure to grab a growler full on your way out.

Funk N’ Dive
If you are looking for a PBR or a Miller High Life Funk N’ Dive is the place for you! They offer a Pappy Meal – PBR with a shot of whiskey and a Happy Meal – Miller High Life with a shot of whiskey. $2 mixed drinks are commonly found here along with live music, karaoke and trivia!
